Description: Under the general direction of the Center Manager, the Behavior Therapist performs a variety of activities in support of instructional programs for patients who have been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder; Implements individualized instructional programs within a clinic setting for individuals who have been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. Prepares appropriate materials; collects daily progress data and consults with the patient’s treatment team on a regular basis.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED, ability to pass a background check, reliable transportation to get to and from work, and must love working with children.
The position includes but is not limited to the following list of representative duties:
Providing direct client care in 1:1 and group settings to children aged 2-11. Programs are developed and monitored by a BCBA.
Following the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
Completing a BACB-approved RBT course and keeps registration to the BACB current (paid for by the company)
Collecting, recording, and summarizing data on observable client behavior.
